Consumer price index increased after 2 months of decline

(binhthuan.gov.vn) According to the Provincial Statistics Office, the consumer price index (CPI) in October 2022 increased by 1.50% compared to the previous month. Thus, after 02 decreases in August and September (0.11% and 0.8%, respectively), CPI has increased again, adding more inflationary pressure.

Specifically, CPI in October 2022 increased by 1.50% compared to the previous month, 3.98% over the same period last year, 3.77% compared to December of the previous year; Average CPI in the first 10 months of 2022 increased by 3.48% over the same period last year.

Compared to the previous month, among 11 main groups of consumer goods and services, there were 04 groups of goods with price increases, of which Education group had the highest increase with 39.30%; Other goods and services increased by 0.11%; Appliances and household appliances increased by 0.03%; Culture, entertainment and tourism increased by 0.03%.

03 commodity groups remained stable: postal and telecommunications; beverages and tobacco; medicines and medical services.

Over the past time, in order to proactively respond to challenges of increasing inflationary pressure, the Government has drastically directed ministries, sectors and localities to synchronously implement solutions to stabilize prices and limit negative impacts on socio-economic development./.
