Conservation associated with development promotion of Bau Trang eco-tourism

Bau Trang is a famous place of Binh Thuan province located in Hoa Thang
commune, Bac Binh district. This place is also known as "Small Sahara
Desert" with undulating sand dunes with many different shapes and always
changing due to the impact of the wind. The highlight is Bau Trang surrounded
by white sand dunes, stretching as flexible as silk. Bau Trang is favored by
nature for a wild and extremely impressive landscape, with a harmonious
combination of white sand dunes and large freshwater lakes.
More than 10 years
ago, on January 15, 2012, the Provincial People's Committee issued a Decision
approving the "Plan for management of Bau Trang eco-tourism site, Bac Binh
district". In recent years, Bau Trang tourist spot has attracted many
tourists to visit, contributing to tourism development and promoting the image
of Bac Binh homeland. However, for sustainable development, Bau Trang
ecotourism is needed many suitable solutions to ensure the harmony between
ecotourism associated with environmental protection.
With the rare natural
beauty, Bau Trang is a famous attraction that most tourists cannot ignore when
choosing Binh Thuan as their destination.
Mr. Nguyen Cong Ly -
Vice Chairman of Bac Binh District People's Committee said that at present, at
Bau Trang tourist site, there are 04 establishments providing food and beverage
services, motorbike and car rental services, etc. However, the services are
arbitrary, the situation of environmental sanitation, activities of terrain
vehicles, skateboarding ... still has many shortcomings.
The advantage of Bau
Trang is that this landscape is ranked as a national relic by the Ministry of
Culture, Sports and Tourism and is in the master development plan for Mui Ne
National Tourist Area, Binh Thuan province to 2025, with a vision to 2030. This
will be a premise for the locality and functional sectors to come up with
appropriate solutions and with available advantages to create momentum for
promoting and diversifying tourism activities, creating a connection in the
overall tourism development of Mui Ne National Tourist Area in particular and
Binh Thuan tourism in general.
