Management of planting area codes and agricultural product packing facilities for export

The planting area codes and packer codes are identifiers for a growing area or a
packer to monitor and control the production, preliminary processing,
packaging, product quality control, traceability of crop products. This is also
a mandatory condition for agricultural products in Binh Thuan in particular and
the whole country in general to be able to export through official channels.
According to the
Provincial Sub-Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection, there are two
types of code for domestic cultivation and export at present. For export
growing area codes, this is a necessary condition for exporting agricultural
products according to the regulations of the importing countries. Organizations
and individuals wishing to export are required to have a planting area code
issued by the importing countries or authorized to use.

Phuong Vinh - Deputy Director of the Provincial Sub-Department of Cultivation
and Plant Protection said that, recently, the Provincial People's Committee has
assigned the task of granting and managing planting area codes to the
Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Department has
assigned the Sub-Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection to perform the
task of granting and managing the code of the planting area in the field of
cultivation.
This is a new assignment,
and is related to digital transformation, so it takes time to widely deploy and
train officials, organizations and individuals. Growing areas wishing to
register can directly contact the Sub-department for instructions, or visit the
Sub-department's website. Currently, the unit is instructing 1 individual for
registration.
For enterprises
producing and trading in agricultural products, it is also necessary to
actively build raw material areas to meet the regulations of the importing
countries. Ensuring that the condition always meets the regulations of the
importing countries in the growing areas and packing facilities. At the same
time, proactively taking measures to protect their codes, promptly notifying
the management agency when there is a change in information related to the
growing areas, packing facilities or when detecting violations related to the
use of codes to take timely handling measures.
