Final round of the "2nd English Speech Contest"

launching and participating in the online qualifying round, on November 12, the
Standing Board of the Provincial Youth Union held the final round of the "2nd
English Speech Contest".
The final round of
the contest had the participation of 4 teams from Ly Thuong Kiet High School -
Lagi town; Nguyen Van Linh High School - Ham Thuan Bac; The alliance of Tran
Hung Dao High School for the Gifted - Phan Boi Chau High School, Phan Thiet
City, and Phan Thiet University.
With the topic
"The impact of social networks on students", the teams went through
the contest sections: Warm-up, Obstacle and Oratory. The contestants confidently
demonstrated their abilities to use English, applied the knowledge learned in
practice, developed thinking abilities, teamwork and especially presentation
skills in English.
It is known that in
the trend of integration and globalization, English is considered to be the
most popular language as nearly 100 countries use it as a second language and
English is considered as an effective tool to shorten the cultural and language
gap and access many opportunities in many fields; with this playground,
students across the province have more opportunities to practice their language
skills, exchange and share experiences in learning this language.
After the contest
sections, the Jury gave the first prize to Team 3 - The Alliance of Tran Hung
Dao High School for the Gifted - Phan Boi Chau High School.
