Binh Thuan continues to drastically implement solutions to prevent and control IUU fishing

Recognizing the importance of IUU fishing prevention and control, in recent
years, Binh Thuan province has seriously and drastically implemented the
guiding documents of the Party, the Prime Minister and the National Steering
Committee on IUU. Accordingly, it has mobilized the drastic participation of
the whole political system, attached the responsibilities of the heads of
departments, agencies, localities, units, mass organizations in IUU fishing
prevention and control, overcoming the EC's recommendations, especially taking
urgent measures to prevent and stop fishing vessels and fishermen from
violating foreign waters.
In order to
completely solve the situation of fishing vessels and fishermen in the province
violating foreign waters, in the coming time, the authorities will continue to
implement synchronous solutions to propagate, monitor, detect and prevent
promptly, especially resolutely handling high-risk fishing vessels. Publicizing
fishing vessels and laborers violated foreign waters locally and on the mass
media. Mobilizing people to report suspicious cases to actively prevent and stop
any fishing vessels and fishermen in the province from violating foreign waters.
Expeditiously completing the installation of fishing vessel monitoring
equipment. Strengthening the prevention and control of IUU fishing at fishing ports
and monitoring seafood output through the ports.
