Management and protection of natural forests in the province

Implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Agriculture
and Rural Development, the Provincial People's Committee on the management and
protection of forests, forest fire prevention and fighting, forest product
management, and the fight against encroachment on forest land. In the past
time, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has strengthened
monitoring of the situation and implemented patrolling, inspection and sweeping
activities in the border areas with Lam Dong, Ninh Thuan provinces and other
important points in the province to promptly detect, prevent and handle
violations.
Accordingly, from the
beginning of 2022, the functional forces have detected and made records to
handle 206 violations, decreased 28 cases over the same period; prosecuted 10
criminal cases, administratively sanctioned 113 violations. At the same time,
32 cases of encroachment on forest land were detected with total area of 41.63
ha, reduced 50 cases/16.6 ha over the same period in 2021.
In the coming time,
the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will continue to strengthen
sustainable management, combat encroachment on forest land, especially
watershed forests and forests bordering other provinces. Protecting and
developing the province's existing forest area, well implementing solutions to
timely prevent and handle acts of encroachment on forest resources. Implementing
the Project on sustainable development of wood material and processing areas in
the province to 2030. Continuing to effectively apply remote sensing
technology, using satellite images in the management and monitoring of forest
resources.
