Measures for traffic order and safety in the last months of 2022

In the first 9 months of 2022, the traffic accident situation in the whole
province decreased by over 5% in 02 criteria in terms of number of cases and
number of injured people, but the number of deaths increased by 2.3% over the
same period in 2021; railway traffic accidents increased on all 3 criteria; traffic
accidents have increased in some areas. In order to strive to reduce traffic
accidents by 5% - 10% in 2022, the Chairman of the Provincial People's
Committee has requested the heads of the Departments, agencies and the
Chairpersons of the People's Committees of the districts, towns and cities and the
Provincial Front, mass organizations to strengthen the implementation of
measures to ensure traffic order and safety, and reduce traffic accidents in
the last months of 2022.
Accordingly, the Provincial Public Security
to continue to direct and urge synchronously and drastically the implementation
of patrolling, inspection and handling strictly according to law provisions for
violations of traffic order and safety; in particular, focusing on handling
vehicle drivers on the road using drugs, violations of alcohol concentration,
overloaded and oversized vehicles, speeding, reckless overtaking that violate
traffic order and safety on National Highway 1A. Strengthening the handling of
violations through the camera system on National Highway 1A and in the area of
Phan Thiet city; focusing on coordinated measures to stop and penalize on the
spot the violators. Coordinating with relevant departments, agencies and units
to ensure traffic safety for inland waterway vehicles; railroad crossings;
ensure security and order on National Highway 1A and at BOT tall stations in
the province...
