According to the People's Committee of Phan Ri Cua town, in 02 days, October
11, 2022 and October 12, 2022, the erratic weather caused coastal erosion in
Tan Phu hamlet, Phu Thuy quarter, Phan Ri Cua town, Tuy Phong district.
Through monitoring,
at present, this coastal erosion has collapsed the fence of 1 household,
collapsed the temporary fence, and felled crops of neighboring households. Up
to now, the phenomenon of coastal erosion has penetrated 7-8 m deep and into
the foot of the fence of households in Tan Phu hamlet, Phu Thuy quarter, Phan
Ri Cua town, with a length of about 150m.
The forecast of
coastal erosion in Tan Phu hamlet, Phu Thuy quarter, and Phan Ri Cua town is
now very serious with the affected length of about 150m, the sea encroaching on
the residential area has collapsed the fences of people's houses and there is a
risk of stronger erosion, directly affecting 12 households/59 people in this
area, if there is no urgent solution to protect the shore, the sea will
continue to invade, causing the capable of losing land, collapsing houses of
people living along the coast, seriously affecting people's daily life and
economy.
Faced with the above
situation, the People's Committee of Phan Ri Cua town has informed people to
continue to actively reinforce landslides with soil bags and wooden stakes;
mobilize militia, soldiers of Hoa Minh border station, people to reinforce
landslides in the above area. At the same time, the People's Committee of Phan
Ri Cua town has proposed the District People's Committee to direct specialized divisions
and agencies to coordinate with the People's Committee of Phan Ri Cua town to make
field survey for promptly handling the landslide situation.
